Client Agreement & Terms of Service:
Thank you for reviewing these terms. Please contact us with any questions before signing, as services will not begin without agreement to these terms.
Business Information:
Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is owned/managed by Mikayla, servicing the Piedmont Triad of NC. Quality care and comfort are our top priorities. We’re here to offer our community a personal alternative to large pet care facilities, recognizing the essential role pets play in our lives. Our mission is to provide pets with the reliable care they deserve while supporting local pet care Providers and entrepreneurs with a platform for their operations. All Pet Care Providers operate as independent contractors following FBPS standards and policies. FBPS has cybersecurity insurance and is bonded. Providers may maintain certifications such as pet sitting certifications and pet first aid/CPR, and may carry their own insurance where applicable. While Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC maintains business insurance and bonding, coverage is subject to policy terms, conditions, and exclusions and is not guaranteed in all situations. Independent contractors choose their own rates, schedule and services while following company policies.
Payment & Tips:
Payments for services are processed through Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC for administrative, scheduling, and recordkeeping purposes.
Tipping is optional.
The Provider receives 100% of their tips after the company processes.

Meet & Greet:
At Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC, we require a Meet & Greet before your first booking to ensure the best care for your pets.
-Do we charge a meet and greet deposit?
All Providers have discretion on whether or not to charge a meet & greet fee or deposit. If they choose a deposit, it is applied as a discount on your upcoming booking. If the Provider charges for the meet and greet, it will not be applied as a deposit. A meet & greet is required for new Clients, new locations, or new pets.
Before the Meet & Greet:
Please complete your Client profile and pet profiles through our Client App before your scheduled session. Meet & Greets allow us to get to know your pets, discuss their routine, and address any questions you may have. Completing your profile in advance ensures we can focus on bonding with your pets and family rather than gathering information. Payment is due before the scheduled Meet & Greet. Appointments will not be confirmed until payment is received.
Promotions:
New Clients get $20 off their first booking. The Provider gets $20 from the company when the promotion is applied to an invoice.

Service Scope:
Services are provided based on the instructions and information provided by the Client and within the scope of agreed services. Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC does not guarantee specific behavioral, medical, or emotional outcomes for any pet. While every effort is made to fulfill scheduled services, Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC does not guarantee uninterrupted or continuous care due to circumstances beyond reasonable control. We operate with time ranges. Visit times are approximate and may vary due to pet needs, scheduling, traffic, weather, or emergencies. Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC does not guarantee exact arrival times.
Entry Requirements:
Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not responsible for malfunctions or failures of security systems, garage doors, cameras, alarms, home appliances, electrical outlets and/or smart home devices.
A house key is required for all services. If you use an electronic lockbox, keypad, garage code, or similar entry method, a physical key is still required if one is available. If no key entry exists, fresh batteries must be installed in the entry device prior to your departure.
We strongly recommend using a weather-protected hideaway key. If a lockbox is used, it must be placed in a secure and weather-protected location.
Electronic entry systems may fail due to battery loss, freezing temperatures, or other technical issues, which may prevent access to the home.
Your Client Profile has a section to describe how to enter your home, alarm instructions for arming/disarming, and more.
Thank you for helping us ensure we can care for your pets. Pickup/drop-off fees may apply for key handling. Client is responsible for ensuring reliable access to the home. Any costs incurred due to failure of entry methods, including locksmith services, may be charged to the Client.
We are not liable for damage caused during entry attempts, except in cases of proven negligence.
Daily Visits:
Minimum 2 visits per day for dogs and 1 visit per day for cats and other species during extended absences.
Optimal schedule for dogs:
4 visits per day

2 visits per day
Optimal schedule for other social animals:
2 visits per day
Optimal schedule for other animals:
1 visit per day
Medical Emergencies & Veterinary Care:
Veterinary Information must be completed, authorizing us to seek care for your pet if needed. These questions are on the Client and pet profiles within Precise Pet Care. Upon creation of an account, the Client accepts our terms of service. Emergency contacts must be provided. If the Client is present during services, they are responsible for transporting their pet(s) to the veterinarian if needed.
The Client is recommended to contact their primary vet and emergency vet prior to the full time booking to put a card on file with them. This is to ensure your pet gets timely care. Emergency care adjustments may occur for the pet’s well-being. We have permission to share pet records with veterinarians as needed. Client agrees to reimburse all emergency vet fees or unexpected supply costs that the Company pays for. Additional time in emergencies is charged at $15/hour. Client is responsible for all veterinary costs. If the emergency is due to Provider negligence, the Client will be reimbursed for medical costs from our insurance Provider.
The Provider will contact you, your emergency contact, and your vet in case of an emergency. If unreachable, the Provider will proceed with necessary medical treatment. The Provider will also notify the company.
Inclement Weather & Provider Emergencies:
In severe weather/health emergencies/transportation difficulties, the Provider will attempt to care for pets. If travel is unsafe, you and your emergency contact will be notified to assist.
Services may be adjusted or canceled for safety. Refunds will be provided for *paid for* canceled services if cancelled due to these reasons.
Any FBPS by Mikayla, LLC, Provider may substitute with another company Provider, with Client permission. Preferably with a meet & greet completed already.
Types of Pets:
We care for dogs, cats, household pets, farm animals, reptiles, birds, and legally owned exotics.
Medication:
We administer medications unless pets pose a safety risk. Additional fees may apply for complex medical routines.
Outdoor Access for Cats:
We discourage letting cats outside during the booking. If insisted, FBPS is not liable for injury, death or loss.
Behavior & Termination:
Fur Babies Pet Sitting reserves the right to terminate or modify services if a pet poses a safety risk, if there is evidence of abuse or neglect, or if conditions are unsafe for the Pet Care Provider or the animal. When possible, the Client will be notified prior to any changes or termination of services. In situations where immediate action is necessary to protect the health or safety of the pet, Fur Babies Pet Sitting may transport the pet to a veterinary clinic, emergency facility, or appropriate care provider. The Client remains responsible for all associated costs. If the Client cannot be reached, Fur Babies Pet Sitting is authorized to make decisions in the best interest of the pet’s health and safety.
Communication Channels:
Email, text, calls, or via Precise Pet Care portal.
Policies may be updated from time to time. Clients will be notified of any material changes that affect pricing, services, or obligations.
We provide an invoice for all completed services.
Payment Due Date:
Payment is due 2 days after the last visit. If payment is not received within 2 days after the due date, a 15% late fee may be applied to the unpaid balance. An additional 5% late fee may be applied every 7 days to the remaining unpaid balance until payment is made in full. Total late fees will not exceed 40% of the original invoice. Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC reserves the right to pause, suspend, or cancel current or future services in the event of non-payment until all outstanding balances are paid in full. Outstanding balances may be subject to additional collection efforts or fees where permitted by law. The Client agrees to pay all fees associated with services provided in accordance with this agreement.
Grace Period: 2-day grace upon request (subject to sitter’s discretion).
Payment Plans Available upon request.
Early Returns or Extended Absences:
No refund for early returns. If the absence extends, notify us immediately. Full payment remains due for reserved time.
Rate Adjustments:
Emergency visits may cost double the regular fee (up to $50).
Providers may adjust pricing for additional time, services, emergency care, or required supplies. When possible, Clients will be notified and approval will be obtained prior to adjustments. If immediate action is required for the safety or well-being of the pet, adjustments may be made without prior approval. All additional fees will be reasonable, documented, and based on the time, labor, or materials required to address the condition.
A $5 surcharge applies for bookings made within 24 hours or less. The Client must provide a clean space for the sitter. A $50 cleaning fee may be applied if conditions are unsanitary, hazardous, or require excessive cleaning beyond normal service expectations.
Clients must provide pet supplies, equipment, and medicine. Missing items will incur a fee for the emergency replacements and time. Holidays include New Year’s, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and Halloween. An additional surcharge will apply for services during these periods. Dirty water dispensers will incur a $5 cleaning fee each if there is excessive buildup or mold.
Scheduling, Cancellations & Deposits:
Clients often reserve dates months in advance. We reserve your dates exclusively and often turn away other Clients once it is booked. This policy helps ensure fairness for our sitters and keeps our business sustainable. We do our best to accommodate short notice requests.
Cancellations- Regular Visits (Drop-Ins / Dog Walking):
More than 24 hours’ notice: No cancellation fee.
Less than 24 hours’ notice: 50% of the visit fee will be charged.
Same-day cancellations (within 4 hours of the visit): Full visit fee is charged.
Cancellations- Overnight Care / Full Time Visits- When reserved in advance. When not booked well in advance, the policy mirrors drop in visits/walk policy.
14+ days' notice: No cancellation fee.
7–13 days’ notice: 50% of the total booking is due.
3–6 days’ notice: 75% of the total booking is due.
1–2 days’ notice: 100% of the total booking is due.
Deposits:
25% deposit required for services lasting longer than three days.
Deposits are non-refundable if canceled by the Client 7 days or less in advance of the booking.
If you have an emergency, severe weather, or unexpected life event, please reach out. We handle these on a case-by-case basis and always strive to be compassionate and fair.
Fur Babies Pet Sitting reserves the right to cancel or modify services for safety, non-payment, inaccurate information, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Refunds will only apply to *paid for* incomplete services.
The cancellation amount does not apply as a credit.
Access to Home:
Notify us of anyone accessing your home during our services. If unknown or unauthorized individuals are present and there is a reasonable concern for safety or security, appropriate authorities may be contacted. We do not coordinate care with third parties unless disclosed and approved. Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not liable for issues caused by third parties except in cases of proven negligence. When third parties (including neighbors, friends, or family) have access to the home or pet during the service period, Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not responsible for incidents, injuries, illness, or damages that cannot be directly attributed to its Providers.
Collar Safety:
When crated, or leaving animal(s) unsupervised, collars will be removed for the safety of the pet in question, as secured collars can cause injury or death should the pet become caught/entangled. The exception being if the collar is a breakaway style.
Medical Injury Reimbursement:
Clients must pay sitters’ medical expenses if injured by the pet due to Client negligence, unless the injury is due to the Provider’s negligence.
Report Changes Promptly:
All changes in your pet’s health, behavior, medication, or other conditions must be reported immediately. If your pet may be contagious, inform us before services begin to allow proper preparation. Failure to notify may result in service cancellation, a $50 disinfecting fee, and/or termination of care. No refunds will be provided if Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC cancels due to health risks that would arise from us interacting with the property and animals.
Confidentiality:
Clients agree not to misuse or distribute confidential business information obtained through services, such as internal processes or proprietary materials. This does not restrict lawful consumer rights.
We will not share your information without permission, except for your email/name, which may be used for updates/marketing. You may unsubscribe by emailing us “Unsubscribe”.
All Pet Care Providers have access to our company resources and can see Client information. I, the Client, acknowledge that they are members of the company and have access to Client information.
Client Liability:
I, the Client, agree and attest that I am the owner of the pet(s) and no one else has a claim to them.
I, the Client, acknowledge that, Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC will provide care based on the details and instructions I have given.
I, the Client, agree to pay for services in full by the due date.
I, the Client, understand that I am solely responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding their pet, home, and care instructions. Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not liable for issues arising from incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated information.
Animals may act unpredictably despite reasonable care. Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not liable for injuries, illness, or damages resulting from a pet’s independent behavior, except in cases of proven negligence.
Aggression:
We do not accept aggressive animals. We understand animals have triggers and we do our best to navigate that. However, the Client must disclose any history of aggression or biting, regardless of when it occurred so that the Provider and Company can make an educated decision. Failure to report behavioral issues may result in immediate termination of services. Our insurance does not cover incidents involving aggressive animals. If an aggressive pet harms someone, the animal’s owner is responsible for all legal and medical repercussions. The Client remains fully responsible for any incidents involving undisclosed aggression, including injuries, damages, or legal claims.
Safety Protocols:
Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC will take all reasonable and known safety measures to protect your pets.
We recommend flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
Liability:
If the Pet Care Provider is injured while caring for your pet and cannot complete the booking, the Client remains responsible for payment for all services already completed. If the injury is caused by Client negligence or failure to disclose relevant information, the Client is responsible for payment of the remaining reserved services. If the injury is due to proven negligence of the Pet Care Provider, the Client will not be responsible for payment of any remaining services that cannot be completed.
Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC will handle mail and packages with reasonable care but is not liable for loss, theft, or damage.
The Client is responsible for maintaining a safe environment within the home and property. Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not liable for injuries, damages, or incidents caused by unsafe conditions, hazards, or maintenance issues within the home or property.
Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not responsible for incidents resulting from faulty or inadequate equipment provided by the Client, including but not limited to leashes, collars, crates, gates, or fencing. While reasonable precautions are taken, Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC does not guarantee that pets will not escape or that containment systems will be effective in all situations.
Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not liable for events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of nature, third parties, environmental conditions, transmission of illness, pests, or other uncontrollable circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, pet illness, injury, escape, pregnancy, or death, as well as damage to property or plants, except in cases of proven negligence by the Company or its Providers.
Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not liable for issues arising from utility failures, including but not limited to power outages, septic system issues, heating or cooling system failures, or water system issues.
By booking services, the Client understands and accepts the inherent risks associated with pet care, including but not limited to accidents, injuries, escapes, or unforeseen incidents. The Client agrees to assume responsibility for risks related to their pet’s behavior, health, and environment.
The Client is responsible for any injury, damage, or loss caused by their pet, including bites or harm to people, animals, or property. The Client agrees to be financially responsible for any resulting medical care, damages, or legal claims.
Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not responsible for incidents that occur when pets are left in unsecured environments, off-leash where permitted, or with outdoor access, except in cases of proven negligence. Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not liable for the progression of pre-existing medical conditions or for symptoms that arise after services have been completed, except in cases of proven negligence.
Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not liable for conditions or incidents that are not immediately observable or that develop outside of service timeframes.
If a Client fails to return, respond, or arrange continued care for their pet(s) & the listed emergency contact cannot care for the pets; Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC reserves the right to consider the pet(s) abandoned and may take appropriate action, including transferring care to a shelter, rescue, or third party at the Client’s expense.
To the fullest extent permitted by North Carolina law, Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC’s liability for any claim arising out of services provided shall be limited to the total amount paid for the services or available insurance coverage, whichever is greater. Nothing in this agreement limits liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
All pets must be current on required vaccinations. In accordance with North Carolina law, dogs, cats, and ferrets must be vaccinated against rabies. The Client is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and for providing accurate and complete information regarding their pet’s health, behavior, and medical needs. Failure to provide accurate or truthful information may result in cancellation of services without liability to Fur Babies Pet Sitting. The Client assumes full responsibility for any illness, injury, exposure, or damages resulting from undisclosed or inaccurate information, including but not limited to exposure to rabies or other transmissible diseases, and agrees to cover any related medical, quarantine, or legal costs.
Animal Transportation:
We will transport animals safely, prioritizing their health in emergencies. We are not liable for a delay in treatment, accidents, injuries, or death during transit, except in cases of proven negligence.
Animal Transportation is occasionally used for services like pet taxi. Animals will be transported using reasonable safety measures. Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not responsible for incidents arising from vehicle accidents, equipment failure, or circumstances beyond reasonable control, except in cases of proven negligence.
Signing this gives us permission to transport the Client’s pet(s).
Serious Breach:
Breach of agreement by the Client may lead to termination, and all services (including canceled ones charged at the cancellation rate) must still be paid in full.
Insurance & Bonding:
Proof of insurance is provided upon request but cannot be shared publicly. We remain certified, insured and bonded while in operation.
Claims should be reported within 24 hours whenever possible.
Clients indemnify us from third-party claims related to their pet’s behavior or negligence. Insurance coverage is subject to policy limitations, exclusions, and claim determinations by the insurance provider. Coverage is not guaranteed in all situations.
Foster Pets:
All foster animals are treated as the Client's pets and must follow the same policies. Details on new foster pets must be disclosed before service begins.
Reviews:
Clients are encouraged to provide honest feedback. Any knowingly false statements made with the intent to cause harm may be addressed in accordance with applicable laws.
Attorney Fees:
Legal fees are recoverable by the prevailing party in disputes.
Severability & Reformation-
If any part of this agreement is deemed invalid, the remaining terms stay in effect.
Authorization: This agreement permits Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC to access the Client’s premises for current and future services without needing additional contracts.
Acknowledgement: The Client agrees to all policies and procedures outlined in this agreement and meet-and-greet paperwork, with the right to request copies of signed agreements, insurance, and other documents.
Veterinary Release: The Client confirms veterinary information is accurately completed and assumes responsibility for any risks from incomplete or incorrect information. The Client affirms vaccination records and medical conditions align with the information provided.
Photos & Recordings: Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC reserves the right to photograph or record pets and property unless the Client requests otherwise in writing. Clients are responsible for informing Fur Babies Pet Sitting of any active recording devices. Footage can only be shared for insurance claims. Recording in private areas is prohibited.
Care Commitment: Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC pledges to provide safe pet care based on the information provided by the Client.
Insurance Exclusions:
No aggressive pets or commercial farm services.
Maximum 5 pets transported at the same time.
Dispute Resolution & Legal Jurisdiction: Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith mediation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered by a mutually agreed upon arbitration provider in North Carolina. Each party shall bear its own legal costs unless otherwise awarded. This agreement is governed by North Carolina law, with venue in Guilford County.
Changes & Validity:
This agreement applies to current and future services unless updated terms are provided and accepted.
Force Majeure:
Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is not liable for delays, interruptions, or inability to perform services due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, or emergencies.
The Client agrees to communicate where safety equipment is and has the necessary emergency equipment. For example; fire extinguisher, working fire alarms, location of the breaker box, etc.
By signing/electronically accepting this agreement, you authorize FBPS to care for your pets as outlined. Electronic signatures and acceptance of services are legally binding and constitute agreement to these terms. This agreement remains in effect for current and future services unless updated terms are provided and accepted or the agreement is terminated by either party.
This agreement ensures quality, safety, and transparency for both Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC and our Clients. Thank you for choosing us to care for your pets and home!
